Alaco attended the annual Oil Council Africa Assembly, which took place in Paris on 10 and 11 June.
The conference brought together over 650 executives from national and international oil and gas companies, related service providers, financiers and investors. The attendees discussed investment opportunities across the African continent. Established operators, both IOCs and junior explorers, shared their investment strategies and ways of dealings with risks: options raised for the latter ranged from carrying out thorough due diligence to working with a local partner (although the latter, it was acknowledged, could also be a net contributor to risk…).
