26.04.2017 | Logan Symposium on Investigative Reporting at the University of California, Berkeley

Alaco is proud to have sponsored the 11th Annual Reva & David Logan Symposium on Investigative Reporting at the University of California, Berkeley. The event took place on Friday 28th April and Saturday 29th April and this is the third year that Alaco members of staff have been in attendance.

Since 2007, the U.C. Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism’s Investigative Reporting Program has hosted a “by invitation only” symposium each spring. The only symposium of its kind in the US, it routinely brings together a veritable “who’s who” of top journalists, law enforcement and government officials to address the critical issues confronting this specialized field. The symposium also unites media executives involved in both non-profit and commercial outlets, as well as media attorneys, academics, major foundations, and philanthropists who support journalism in the public interest.

The Investigative Reporting Program is a professional newsroom and teaching institute at the University, committed to reporting stories that expose injustice and abuse of power while training the next generation of journalists in the highest standards of investigative journalism.

Further details of the Symposium can be found here.
